In the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics we have available annually up to two Teaching Assistantships in the Chinese Language for students applying to our Graduate Program in Linguistic Studies. Teaching Assistantships provide a stipend for living expenses, full waiver of tuition (for a maximum of 24 credits per academic year), and other benefits. We currently teach two levels of Chinese (CHI 101-2 and CHI 201-2) for a total of four 4-credit, 6-hour courses. In addition to four hours in class, students are required to spend two hours doing computer-assisted instruction or working with audio-visual materials or videocassettes. We also teach a 1-credit, 1-hour advanced conversation class each semester. For application materials and further information, please contact: |
